Over the course of the last few months, the Connecticut Airport Authority was pleased to partner again with our GA tenants, aviation organizations, local town economic development offices, and chambers of commerce to host Open Houses for the public to visit Danielson, Groton – New London and Windham Airports. A total of 2,400+ visitors attended the events, including exhibitors and volunteers. Activities ranged from free Young Eagles rides for youth to a wide variety of military and civilian static aircraft displays with their pilots and crew. Enthusiasm for the annual Open Houses continues to build in the CAA airport communities, judging by the increasing numbers of returning attendees and advance requests to participate from Connecticut-based aviation and aerospace groups.
